Ralph Krämer
Ralph Krämer — Designer (Pott) — Featured by JANGEORGe
Ralph Krämer (b. 1955) is a German product designer whose work is rooted in clarity, ergonomics, and elegant understatement. In 1983 he founded his own design studio (Büro für Gestaltung), through which he executes commissions across disciplines.
His collaboration with the flatware house Pott is central to his reputation. Under the direction of Hanspeter Pott, Krämer was tasked in 1996 with designing the children’s flatware line Bonito, and in 1999 he extended this into the adult collection Pott 41. His designs for Pott also include knives whose refined silhouettes balance sharp utility with approachable form.
Krämer’s approach continuously explores how everyday objects — spoons, forks, knives — can feel natural in the hand, be rigorously functional, and yet carry aesthetic presence. Several of his pieces are held in collections and recognized among design circles for their timelessness and integrity.
At JANGEORGe, we’re proud to feature Ralph Krämer’s Pott designs, bringing his minimalist precision and sculptural restraint into homes where form meets utility.
